Colorado Springs police put out a public appeal after a 64-year-old man went missing from a residential neighborhood on the city's northeast side during the final hours of Sunday.
Authorities placed his last known location at a home on Avens Circle, in the roughly 8200 address range, near where Research Parkway meets Rangewood Drive — with the disappearance noted at just before midnight Sunday.
Police described the man as exceptionally tall at six feet four inches, slim at around 165 pounds, and recognizable by blond-gray hair, blue eyes, a handlebar mustache, and tattoos running along both arms. His outfit at the time consisted of what authorities called a "black shorts' onesie," paired with gray shoes and glasses.
He was not alone when he was last spotted — two dogs on leashes were with him. One, named Leia, is a black-coated mix of Siberian husky and Labrador; the other, Panda, is a black-and-white dog combining Siberian husky, Australian shepherd, and border collie lineage.
Police directed anyone who believes they have seen the man or can account for his location to phone the Colorado Springs Police Department at the department's non-emergency line.
The missing-persons case remains open, and no announcement of the man's safe return had been made at the time of publication.
