Colorado Springs police are searching for a missing 64-year-old man who was last seen in the northeastern part of the city late Sunday night, and they are asking residents with any information to come forward.
The man was last seen at approximately 11:45 p.m. Sunday in the 8200 block of Avens Circle, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department. The neighborhood is located near Research Parkway and Rangewood Drive.
Police described the man as 6 feet 4 inches tall and approximately 165 pounds, with blond-gray hair, blue eyes, and a handlebar mustache. He also has tattoos on both arms and was last seen wearing a "black shorts' onesie," gray shoes, and glasses.
The man was accompanied by two dogs on leashes at the time of his disappearance. One dog, named Leia, is a black Siberian husky-Labrador mix, and the second dog, named Panda, is a black-and-white Siberian husky-Australian shepherd-border collie mix. The presence of the two distinctive dogs may aid members of the public in recognizing the group if spotted in the area.
Anyone who has seen the man or knows his whereabouts is asked to call the Colorado Springs Police Department at 719-444-7000.
As of the time of publication, police had not announced any updates indicating the man had been located, and the search remains active.
