El Paso County authorities are searching for a man who disappeared from his residence on Aug. 5 and has not made contact with loved ones since. The Sheriff's Office described the silence as "highly unusual" for the man, known as Leif "Bubs" Pettersen. His family notified the Sheriff's Office that same day after he vanished.
Pettersen is 32, stands 5-foot-10, weighs 160 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes. Authorities traced his last known movements to the Hoss Point neighborhood in unincorporated Midway, where he lives.
