Colorado Springs comedy fans have a chance this weekend to see one of the more distinctive acts on the touring circuit, as impressionist Pablo Francisco is set to appear at Loonees Comedy Corner.

Francisco has spent decades building his reputation around vocal mimicry, weaving celebrity impressions, sound effects, and original characters into his sets. His television credits include "Mad TV," and he has released comedy specials such as "Bits and Pieces" and "Not the Same," in addition to touring internationally.

At Loonees this weekend, audiences can expect to hear a parade of familiar celebrity voices emerging from the stage — among them, possibly, a certain Austrian-accented catchphrase about helicopters. The lineup of voices Francisco conjures — figures like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jackie Chan, and Aaron Neville — is less a collection of isolated gags than the actual substance of his comedy.

Francisco will share the bill with Paul Cardozo, with performances offered at both 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at the club's North Academy Boulevard location. Admission is priced between $27.22 and $38.11 depending on the ticket tier selected.

Whether seats remain available for either evening's shows was not addressed in available reports.
