Colorado Springs music fans have a packed weekend ahead, with performances spanning jazz, country, metal, bluegrass, and rock scheduled at venues across the city and surrounding area.
Colorado original band Dotsero will bring its high-energy blend of jazz, funk, and instrumental groove to Stargazers Theatre for an evening of smooth and dance-ready music. The internationally touring group is known for saxophone-driven melodies that have made it a longtime name in contemporary jazz, with the show set for 7 p.m. Friday at 10 S. Parkside Drive, with tickets at $23.
Also on Friday, fiddler and multi-instrumentalist Luke Bulla will bring his bluegrass and acoustic talents to The Black Rose Acoustic Society, with Can Kickers and Scott Flora opening the show. Bulla began touring with his family at age 4 and later became a seven-time National Oldtime Fiddlers' Contest winner. The performance begins at 7 p.m. at 12530 Black Forest Road, with tickets at $15.
Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort's free LIVE at the Lodge concert series continues Friday with a performance by All That Chicken. Guests can enjoy live music, Colorado-crafted drinks, and food from The Original Dr. Taco food truck during the weekly outdoor concert series, running 6 to 9 p.m. at 2 El Paso Blvd.
On Saturday, country hitmaker Tracy Lawrence brings his No Alibis Tour to Pikes Peak Center for a night of classic country hits and new music. The Country Music Awards and Academy of Country Music award winner has sold 13 million albums and earned 18 No. 1 hits throughout his career. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. at 190 S. Cascade Ave., with tickets ranging from $64 to $145.
The weekend closes on the heavier end of the spectrum Sunday, when New York's masked metal band Kissing Candice brings its blend of aggressive metal and theatrical shock-rock energy to Sunshine Studios Live, joined by Buried in Lies, Riffilia, and Doctor Nez. The group has toured nationally, and the Colorado stop is set for 6 p.m. at 3970 Clear View Frontage Road, with tickets priced between $19.07 and $57.73.
