A market merging handmade artisan goods with spiritual wellness offerings is making its Colorado Springs debut this weekend, giving local residents a single venue to browse crafts and engage with holistic healing practices.

The event draws together around 100 artisans and holistic practitioners under one roof, with a focus on spirituality, personal growth, and the visual arts. Founder Amy Schmidt launched the expo three years ago in Castle Rock before deciding to expand it to Colorado Springs.

"Our tagline is spirituality with an artsy twist," Schmidt said. "We blend artisans and craftsmen with holistic practitioners and healers and metaphysical offerings. They go hand in hand in an intuitive space with the artisans' creative flow, and the holistic healers can help people change negative patterns."

The expo is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and wraps up at 4 p.m. on Sunday, with both days held at the Colorado Springs Event Center at 3960 Palmer Park Blvd. General admission costs $10, while children aged 10 and under get in at no charge. Services such as metaphysical readings and sound healing sessions run $20 to $30 for a 20-minute block.

Among the experiential offerings available to visitors are aura photography, hand analysis, palm readings, energy work, red light therapy, and henna tattoos. On the artisan side, vendors will offer items ranging from jewelry and skin care products to handcrafted drums, tensor rings, and herbal remedies.

Throughout the weekend, a number of participating practitioners and artisans will also lead presentations and workshops, including sessions titled "The Call of the Healer: Transforming Challenge into Wisdom and Healing" and "Healing from the Inside Out: Techniques to Heal and Clear Your Own Energy."

"We've been told it's a high-vibe, fun atmosphere where you can talk to many different people in the holistic realm," Schmidt said. "They can help align a person on their path. If you're struggling, this would be a place to open up your own healing abilities. A good practitioner helps point you back to yourself and the power you have within you."

Further details about the weekend's schedule and vendors can be found at artsoulevents.com. Whether the organizers intend to establish Colorado Springs as a permanent annual location for the expo has not been announced.
