A national coffee tour program has added Colorado Springs to its roster this fall, giving residents a structured way to explore the city's independent café scene over the course of a month.
Coffee Crawls organizes monthlong, curated coffee tours in select cities across the country. Its latest round of tours is happening this month in cities including Colorado Springs, Seattle, Albuquerque, Detroit and Atlanta.
The crawl runs from September 15 through October 15, allowing participants to fully enjoy 15 local spots and what they have to offer. Participants buy a ticket and receive a digital map that takes them on a coffee tour of the city, along with a $5 credit at each stop to order whatever they'd like — paying only the difference. Participants are then prompted to take a survey at every shop they visit; the surveys are required, with one snooze allowed, to give participating coffee shops a chance to hear from their customers.
The 15 participating locations span neighborhoods from downtown to the north side to Fountain. Several of the shops carry distinct identities within the local coffee landscape. Corter Coffee Roasters roasts its own beans in small batches sourced from around the world. Misty Mountain Collective operates as an eco-conscious lounge whose coffee is sourced from a zero-emissions roaster, and the shop uses jars instead of disposable cups to maintain a zero-waste model. Mission Coffee Roasters has been in operation for over 20 years and functions as a Christian-founded organization that hosts coffee fundraisers for nonprofits, schools and churches in the region.
Several participating shops are relatively new to the Colorado Springs market. Landmarks Coffee, located next to Weidner Field, opened less than a month ago after starting as a mobile coffee trailer before planting roots downtown. MoJoe's Cafe is a veteran-owned café that opened in the spring of 2025 with the goal of providing hand-crafted coffee and food to Colorado Springs residents. ROHR Coffee is a café that opened in 2024 with the goal of supporting the community and promoting coffee culture.
The crawl also includes shops with specialized menus timed to the season. Hold Fast Coffee Co. is set to release its fall menu on September 19, four days after the coffee crawl begins. KB Coffee and Bakery recently released its fall menu, which includes a toasted pumpkin latte. Kangaroo Coffee has two locations, and both are participating in the crawl.
Other stops on the tour include Cinchona, a spot dedicated to single-origin coffee and matcha located a few blocks from bird tree cafe in downtown, Frankly Coffee in Old Colorado City, a small specialty coffee shop that also sells locally-baked pastries, Hillside Coffee Shop, tucked inside Hillside Gardens and surrounded by four acres of flowers, and STIR Coffee and Cocktails, a neighborhood coffee and cocktail spot in the Old North End designed as a gathering place for residents.
Ticket pricing and availability details had not been published in the sourced materials at the time of this report, and it was not immediately clear how many tickets remained available ahead of the September 15 start date.
