The University of Colorado football program is set to make Colorado Springs a centerpiece of its early fall preparations, drawing the high-profile program out of Boulder and onto the Front Range's second-largest city for the opening stretch of training.
Camp kicks off Aug. 2, with the squad spending its entire opening week in Colorado Springs. Players will be housed at UCCS, the Boulder campus's sister institution, and will hold daily practice sessions at Fountain-Fort Carson High School. The team is scheduled to head back north to Boulder on Aug. 8 to complete the remainder of fall camp.
The program has previously taken its preseason work outside of Boulder, holding a public-facing practice at Denver's All-City Stadium during the 2024 camp. The Colorado Springs arrangement differs from that outing in at least one significant respect. No public events are planned at any point during the team's time in the city.
The upcoming camp is preparation for the 2026 season, which will be Sanders's fourth year leading the program. Colorado is scheduled to open on the road against Georgia Tech on Sept. 3 at 6 p.m., with the game airing on ESPN.
Whether the program will make Colorado Springs a recurring stop in future preseason schedules, or open any portion of future visits to the public, has not been announced.
