Teller County's residential real estate market posted a busy July, with transactions spread across multiple communities, according to figures compiled by a local realty group tracking the region.
The Home Legacy Group at Coldwell Banker 1st Choice Realty tallied 77 total home sales throughout Teller County during July. The activity stretched from smaller mountain communities to more established towns, pointing to continued buyer demand across a range of price points.
Woodland Park led the county with 24 completed sales; the priciest transaction closed at $1.4 million while the most affordable came in at $299,000. Divide recorded 12 sales, with a top price of $1.3 million and a bottom of $83,000. Nine homes changed hands in Florissant, where sale prices ran from $90,000 on the low end to $665,000 on the high end. The Cripple Creek-Victor area saw seven completed transactions, with the highest closing at $737,000 and the lowest at $131,000. Ute Pass rounded out the report with three sales, all falling between $430,000 and $550,000.
Beyond the housing figures, a Woodland Park nonprofit serving military veterans drew a recent gift from the business community. Perini & Associates and its principal, Mike Perini — a retired U.S. Air Force officer — contributed $500 to Faithful Hearts Equine Learning Center, citing the center's service to veterans in Teller County as the reason for the gift.
That same center is preparing for a community gathering later this season. Park State Bank & Trust has signed on as presenting sponsor for the center's fourth annual Fall Skill Show & Community Showcase, set to run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on September 26. The event offers area residents a chance to connect with the center's programming firsthand.
