A Colorado Springs park will once again host a charity race where the dress code calls for inflatable costumes rather than conventional running attire, with all proceeds directed toward Alzheimer's research and awareness.
The event brings together three local organizations focused on elder care — BrightOn Hospice Services, Able Care Mobile Therapy, and Cornerstone Caregiving — as its organizing partners. Money collected through registration goes directly to the Alzheimer's Association.
Each participant pays a $35 entry fee and is responsible for arriving with their own inflatable suit. After crossing the finish line, registrants can enjoy ice cream and drinks, and those who finish with the fastest times or the most impressive costumes — in both individual and team divisions — are eligible to take home a trophy.
The race is scheduled to take place at Betty Krouse Park, located at 2415 E. Cache La Poudre Street, with activity running from 3 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Whether registration is capped or still open at the time of the event had not been confirmed in available reports.
