The first recall covers approximately 9,000 YCXXKJ baby bath seats sold by BenTalk on Amazon between May 2024 and October 2025. The seats were sold in blue, gray, pink, and yellow, and came equipped with two detachable arms, four suction cups, and a set of duck, turtle, or whale bath toys.
The problem: the seats are unstable and can tip over during use, creating a drowning risk for infants.
Remedy: Stop using the seat immediately. Contact BenTalk through Amazon for a full refund. Full recall details are available at cpsc.gov.
NFSVLB Baby Bath Seats
The second recall covers NFSVLB baby bath seats sold on Amazon between May 2025 and October 2025, priced at $25 to $40. These seats have a different design flaw: the leg openings are large enough to allow infants to slip through, creating both an entrapment hazard and a drowning risk.
Remedy: Stop using the seat immediately. Contact the seller through Amazon for a full refund.
What to Do Right Now
If you have either of these bath seats in your home โ or if you're unsure whether your seat matches one of the recalled models โ stop using it until you've confirmed the model name against the CPSC recall listings at cpsc.gov.
Both recalls share the same core instruction: stop use, get a refund. Do not donate or resell a recalled product.
The CPSC recommends that caregivers never leave a child unattended in a bath seat, even one that isn't subject to a recall. The American Academy of Pediatrics advises within-arm's-reach supervision for any child under age 6 near water, regardless of what safety equipment is in use.
How to Check Your Seat
The model name is typically printed on a label on the underside of the seat. Look for "YCXXKJ" or "NFSVLB" on the product label, packaging, or Amazon order history. If you purchased a bath seat through Amazon, you can also check your order history to identify the product and seller.
What's Next
The CPSC periodically updates its recall list at cpsc.gov/recalls. Parents and caregivers who want to stay current on product safety notices can sign up for email alerts directly through the CPSC website.
For questions about either of these specific recalls, the CPSC hotline is 800-638-2772 (TTY 301-595-7054), available Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5:30 PM ET.
