A Colorado Springs dining institution is shutting its doors this summer. The owners of Salsa Brava announced the Mexican food venue will close on Aug. 29, after 24 years in business.

Salsa Brava was the first restaurant concept created by the Rocky Mountain Restaurant Group in 2002, and became known for its margaritas and signature warm blackened tomato salsa.

Additional details about the reasons for the closure, impacts on staff, and any plans for the location have not yet been reported.
