A longtime Colorado Springs dining staple is preparing to shut down this summer. Salsa Brava's owners announced the Mexican restaurant will cease operations on Aug. 29, ending a 24-year run.
The eatery holds a particular place in the Rocky Mountain Restaurant Group's history, having been the company's original concept when it launched in 2002. Over the years, it built a following around its margaritas and a house warm blackened tomato salsa.
Details about the reasons behind the closure, any effects on employees, and future plans for the space have not yet been reported.
