The pre-evacuation warning covers the area of Tenderfoot Hill Road between Venetucci Boulevard and Tenderfoot Hill Street, near Lake Avenue. The affected area sits near the intersection of Colorado Highway 115 and Lake Avenue in Colorado Springs.

Those in the area should be prepared to evacuate if needed. A pre-evacuation warning is a preparedness designation that stops short of a mandatory evacuation order but signals that conditions could change and residents may need to leave on short notice.

El Paso County residents can receive emergency notifications through Everbridge, the system used by Custer, El Paso, Fremont, and Teller Counties to reach community members during an emergency. A partnership with the ReachWell app also allows Peak Alerts to integrate with the platform and support 130 different language translations, and the app does not require users to create an additional account or provide personal information to receive the alerts.
