A Colorado Springs women's clothing boutique is offering shoppers a new way to engage with the store beyond traditional browsing. Urbane Collective, at 7676 Dublin Blvd., positions itself as a more intimate alternative to large retail chains, stocking women's clothing with styles tied to Colorado's local character — pieces meant to stand apart from what mainstream stores typically carry.
The shop has recently expanded its in-store offerings with a consignment option. A room previously used for plants has been repurposed as the boutique's consignment area, complementing a clothing exchange program the store already runs. Customers who bring in items can earn either a cut of the proceeds — set at 40 percent of whatever the piece sells for — or they may opt for store credit instead.
The boutique's doors are open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., with reduced Sunday hours running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
How the new consignment program affects customer traffic and whether it draws consistent community participation will become clearer in the weeks ahead.
