Family events in Colorado Springs

Last updated 23d ago · 13 upcoming

October's shaping up decent for getting the kids out of the house before the snow actually sticks. Sunday, Oct 11 is a double-header: Hex & Harvest Fest at VFW Post 101 for the seasonal community stuff, and a Meadow Walk at Cheyenne Mountain State Park if you'd rather let them burn energy on actual dirt. Same day, Painting with a Twist has Paint A Spooky Cutie going, which is basically guaranteed glitter-on-the-car-seat afterward. Tuesday brings Jim Henson's Labyrinth — In Concert to Pikes Peak Center For The Performing Arts, which is more of a nostalgia trip for parents but kids tend to sit still for puppets and a live orchestra. The following weekend stacks more painting-studio sessions and a Kid at Heart show at Pikes Peak Center. Further out, Story Coffee Company's doing a Mindful Wellness Walk if you need a slower-paced option, and Flying W Ranch has Gingerbread & Jazz booked twice over — once in November, once already on the books for 2026, because apparently they're planning ahead even if you aren't. Check the weather before the outdoor stuff. This is still Colorado.
