The Hazard: Why Incline Matters for Infants

Federal law — specifically the Safe Sleep for Babies Act of 2022 — bans inclined infant sleepers because of a well-established suffocation risk. When infants sleep on an inclined surface, their heads can fall forward, placing their chin on their chest and partially blocking the airway. Infants lack the muscle control to correct this position on their own. This is the reason pediatricians recommend that infants sleep on flat, firm surfaces on their backs.

The Vevor Baby Swings covered by this recall have an incline angle of more than 10 degrees, which exceeds the legal limit. All three affected models are subject to this stop-use order: the BB501K (white and gray, white base), the BB702A (white and gray, gray base), and the BB005K (black and gray, black base).

The swings were sold on VEVOR.com, Amazon.com, and Wayfair.com between November 2024 and January 2026 for approximately $30.

How to Identify the Recalled Models

If you're not certain of the model number, check for a label on the product or look at the base color against the product description above. All three models are subject to the same recall.

This Is the Third Baby Sleep Product Recall This Month

If you've been following recall news lately, this may feel familiar. This is the third recall of an infant sleep product in August alone, following last week's Bimuva baby swings and Wnttmt infant walkers. The Safe Sleep for Babies Act has been in effect since 2022, but products manufactured before or shortly after the law passed are still showing up in homes — often purchased secondhand or through online marketplaces.

It's worth doing a quick audit of any baby sleep gear you have at home, particularly items purchased online or received as hand-me-downs. If a product allows an infant to sleep at an angle — a swing, a bouncer, a lounger, or a reclining seat — check whether it complies with current safety standards. The CPSC maintains a searchable recall database at cpsc.gov/Recalls.

What's Next

If you have one of the recalled Vevor swings, contact Sanven Technology through the options listed above and stop using the product today. For parents looking to replace the swing, look for products specifically labeled as compliant with the Safe Sleep for Babies Act. When in doubt about any infant sleep product, your pediatrician is a reliable resource for current safe-sleep guidance.
