Two Pull-String Teethers Recalled From Amazon — Silicone Strings Can Reach Baby's Throat
What Was Recalled
The Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled two pull-string teething toy sets sold on Amazon on July 23, 2026. Both products pose a choking and respiratory hazard to infants and should be stopped immediately.
The recalled toys are:
- CuddleCubs Creations highchair teething toy set -- colors BlueOrange and YellowOrange, sold by YouRfocus on Amazon from December 2024 through April 2026 for $15 to $19.
- Aojieni Sili Factory Pull String Teething Toy -- a silicone cylinder with six color-coded pull strings ending in spherical balls, sold on Amazon from May 2025 through April 2026 for $11 to $15.
The Hazard
Both toys violate the mandatory safety standard for toys. The silicone pull strings on each product are smaller in diameter and longer than what the standard permits. Because of these dimensions, the strings can reach the back of a child's throat and become lodged, creating a serious risk of respiratory distress and a potentially deadly choking hazard.

Advertise hereCPSC received one confirmed report involving the Aojieni Sili Factory toy: the toy's strings reached the back of a child's throat and caused gagging. No injuries were reported. CPSC is not aware of incidents involving the CuddleCubs toy, but the hazard mechanism is the same and both recalls carry the same safety language: "risk of serious injury or death."
What to Do If You Have Either Toy
Stop using both toys immediately and take them away from children. To receive a full refund, you must destroy the toy first. Here is the process for each:
CuddleCubs Creations
Cut all silicone strings from the toy body. Write "DESTROYED" in permanent marker on the main body of the toy. Take a photo of the destroyed toy and email it to cuddlecubscreation@126.com. A full refund will be issued.
Aojieni Sili Factory
Cut all silicone strings from the toy body. Write "RECALLED" in permanent marker on the main body of the toy. Take a photo of the destroyed toy and email it to info@silifactory.com. A full refund will be issued.
