Rock Ledge Ranch Fall Harvest This Saturday: Wagon Rides, Pumpkin Picking, and More
One of Colorado Springs' best fall traditions returns this Saturday. Rock Ledge Ranch hosts its annual Fall Harvest on October 3 from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site, with wagon rides, pumpkin picking, old-time music, candy scrambles, and tours of the historic homes and working blacksmith shop.
If you haven't been to Rock Ledge Ranch in the fall, this is the event to start with. The combination of hands-on activities, living history, and the backdrop of Garden of the Gods makes it unlike most other fall festivals in the region.

The event spans the full Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site, where costumed interpreters bring the ranch's history to life. On Fall Harvest day, the ranch layers seasonal activities on top of the usual interpretive experience.
Wagon rides are a consistent crowd favorite โ the rides take families across the property with views of the rock formations at Garden of the Gods. Pumpkin picking lets kids choose their own, and candy scrambles are a perennial hit for younger children. The blacksmith shop demonstration gives kids a genuinely rare look at a working historical craft. There's pie. There's old-time music. The atmosphere is warm and unhurried in a way that feels increasingly rare in busy family schedules.

Worth Knowing
October 3 is also the date of the Colorado Springs Oktoberfest at the Western Museum of Mining and Industry โ free admission, starts midday. Some families make it a full-day Saturday by hitting both. The two venues are about 20 minutes apart. If you're doing both, we'd suggest Rock Ledge Ranch in the morning (it opens at 10 AM) and Oktoberfest in the afternoon.
