If you have a HARPPA Nordi Foldable Toddler Tower Stool in your kitchen, stop using it now. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a recall of 47,166 of these popular learning tower stools due to serious entrapment and fall hazards.

According to the CPSC, the recalled tower stools can collapse or tip over while in use. More critically, a child's torso can fit through openings on the front and back sides of the stool — creating a risk of entrapment and strangulation. HARPPA has received three reports of the stools collapsing or tipping over, resulting in two injuries including scrapes, cuts, and bruises.

How to Identify the Recalled Product

The recalled stools are white, black, and blue with natural wood color on the step, platform, and safety bars. They measure approximately 18 inches deep, 18 inches wide, and 38.6 inches tall. The model number HANS0002 is printed on a label on the underside of the stool's platform.

If you're not sure whether your stool is the recalled model, flip it over and check the underside of the platform for the HANS0002 label. If you see that model number, stop using the product immediately.

What to Do

Do not continue using the stool. HARPPA is offering a free repair kit — including protective nets, stabilizing feet, and installation instructions — to all affected families. Shipping of the repair kit is included at no cost.

Contact HARPPA directly through the harppababy.com website to request your free repair kit. You do not need to return the product. Once the repair kit is installed, the stool can be used again safely.
