CPSC Recalls Mikario 5-in-1 Baby Gym Sold on TikTok Shop — Suffocation Hazard

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled the Mikario Trading 5-in-1 Convertible Baby Gym after determining its floor mat can obstruct an infant's breathing. The product violates the mandatory federal safety standard for infant support cushions, and the CPSC is directing parents to stop using it immediately.

The recall affects the pink units only, sold exclusively on TikTok Shop from May through October 2025 at roughly $50. If you purchased this product through TikTok Shop during that window, it's worth checking your records — the item number on recalled units is CBPBG-PIN.

What the Recall Covers

The gym converts between an overhead activity center and a tummy-time pillow mat — that's where the hazard lives. When used in its floor mat configuration, the mat can block an infant's airway in a way that violates the mandatory safety standard for infant support cushions. The CPSC classifies this as a suffocation risk.

The recalled units are the pink colorway only. The item number, CBPBG-PIN, should appear on the product's label or packaging if you still have it. The product was never listed on Amazon, Target, or other major retailers — TikTok Shop was the exclusive sales channel, which means the typical retailer-recall notification channels didn't apply here.

What Parents Need to Do Now

The CPSC's required action is specific: don't just set the product aside.

1. Stop use immediately. Don't let your baby use the mat in any configuration.
2. Destroy the floor mat. Cut it in half. This isn't optional — the CPSC requires destruction to ensure the product can't be passed along or resold.
3. Photograph the cut mat. You'll need photographic proof of destruction to receive your refund.
