CPSC Recalls GBYMIUY Magnetic Stick Figure Toys — Loose Magnets Can Be Fatal If Swallowed
The Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled approximately 10,750 GBYMIUY Magnetic Stick Figure Toy Sets on October 1, 2026. If you have these toys at home, remove them from children immediately.
The sets were sold exclusively on Amazon between April and July 2026 by Ningbo Jiboyou Trading Co., operating under the name GBYMIUY. Each pack contains 30 colorful stick figures with small high-powered magnets embedded in the hands and feet.

The recall was issued because the sets can shed loose magnets. Swallowing a single small magnet may pass without harm, but if a child swallows more than one — or swallows one while another is already in the digestive system — the magnets attract to each other through the intestinal walls. This can cause intestinal perforations, twisting, and blockage, as well as blood poisoning. The injuries can be serious and fast-moving.
No injuries or incidents had been reported at the time of the recall, but high-powered magnet ingestion is well-documented as a cause of emergency surgery in young children. The CPSC classifies it as a potentially life-threatening hazard.
