Recall 1: Gagaku Children's Ice Cream Toy Playsets — Magnet Ingestion Hazard

The CPSC has recalled Gagaku Children's Ice Cream Toy Playsets, sold on Amazon by Brandworl.USA, due to a high-powered magnet ingestion hazard. The playsets contain high-powered magnets that can detach and be swallowed by young children.

When multiple magnets are swallowed separately, they can attract to each other through the walls of the intestine. This can cause perforations of the intestinal wall, twisting, blockage of the intestines, and blood poisoning — injuries that are life-threatening and may require emergency surgery. The CPSC had received at least two reports of children requiring surgery to remove magnets, along with 27 additional reports of the toy breaking open.

If you purchased Gagaku Children's Ice Cream Toy Playsets from Amazon, stop use immediately. Contact Brandworl.USA or Amazon for return and refund information. You can also search the product on cpsc.gov for the full recall notice.

Recall 2: ABC Trading Children's Toy Products — Button Battery Hazard

ABC Trading has recalled three children's toy products due to button cell battery compartments that children can easily open. The recalled items are:

  • Toy Headband (model 6300RP) — pink with white polka dots, push button on the bow activates lights
  • Electronic Pet Cage-Dinosaur Tribes (model 8266/ZH998-22) — silver cage with blue bottom, contains a red dinosaur figure
  • My Pet Bird Cute Bird Tribes (model ZH998-23) — pink cage with a blue bird inside

These products were sold at TOYZ and Joissu Product stores nationwide from November 2022 through October 2025 for between $5 and $9 each. The battery compartments on these toys do not adequately secure the button cell batteries inside, meaning a young child can access them.

Button cell batteries — also called coin batteries — are extremely dangerous when swallowed. They can lodge in the throat or digestive tract and cause internal chemical burns within hours. Injuries are severe and can be fatal. If you believe a child has swallowed a button battery, go to the emergency room immediately. Do not wait for symptoms.

If you have any of the three recalled ABC Trading products at home, stop use immediately. Contact ABC Trading for a full refund.
